Amazon Rainforest Journalism Fund focuses on COVID-19 [South America]

Journalists and independent media organizations can apply for a reporting grant.

The Amazon Rainforest Journalism Fund (RJF), an initiative of the Pulitzer Center, offers grants of up to US$5,000 for proposals on the destruction of the Amazon during the pandemic.

Projects associated with the local press and Indigenous, quilombola and other traditional or local communities will have priority, as well as proposals that include at least one letter of commitment from a national or regional media organization.

Proposals can be sent in Spanish, Portuguese and English.

The deadline is April 15.
