BBC accepting entries for Journalism Apprenticeship Advanced [UK]

Early-career journalists looking to develop advanced journalism skills can apply for an apprenticeship.

The BBC is accepting applications for its Journalism Apprenticeship Advanced. The two-year apprenticeship begins in September, with locations in London, Salford, Birmingham, Leeds and Cardiff.

Successful apprentices will gain hands-on experience, creating quality content for BBC TV, radio, online and digital platforms.

Apprentices will study and learn on the job while working towards a Level 7 Apprenticeship and the industry recognized NCTJ National Qualification in Journalism (NQJ). Upon completion of the program, apprentices will be hired as journalists at the BBC.

The salary is GBP22,442 and apprentices based in London will also receive a GBP4,729 living allowance.

The deadline is Feb. 14.
