Young journalists and journalism students can apply for a trip to Germany.
The German-American Fulbright Commission organizes the Berlin Capital Program to foster transatlantic relations and promote professional and academic networks between Germany and the United States.
Up to 15 journalists will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the political, economic and cultural environment in Germany/Europe with a special focus on the German media landscape and the role of media in politics and society.
The selected candidates participate in a series of seminars, presentations and visits to German media and German political and cultural institutions. The trip will take place Sept. 17 to 24.
A limited number of participants will also receive a short extension for a limited number of participants to follow up on meetings, conduct independent research and further take advantage of the Fulbright experience.
The program will cover travel, hotel accommodation, several meals, local transportation and health insurance.
The deadline is March 21.
