She is a Lecturer with the Department of Information and Media Studies, Bayero University, Kano. She holds a Ph.D. in Mass Communication with a number of publications to her credit. Her research interest borders around Journalism, Media Law, Health Communication, and recently, Gender Studies. She is a member of several Professional Associations among which are ACSPN, ACCE among others. She works as a Consultant for both international and local organizations like UNICEF, UNDP, CITAD, APPEALS, IPC to mention a few.

has been a development worker since 1998, with a Masters’ Degree in Political Science (International Relations) from University of Ibadan and also obtained Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of Lagos. He has worked for both local and international non-governmental organisations such as International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP Democratic Governance for Development project), Forward in Action for Education, Poverty and Malnutrition (FAcE-PaM), Electoral Reform Network and Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA). He has also consulted for USAID-OTI, UKAID (DfID), UNDP, Gender and Affirmative Action (GAA) among others.  He is the Executive Director, OJA Development Consult and a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Leadership and Governance. His strength lies in research, advocacy and training, particularly in democracy and good governance.

who is a gender and development activist is currently the Convener and Board Member: Women for Equity and Fairness Organisation of Nigeria (WEFON). She has a Master’s degree in Mass Communications (Print Media) from the University of Lagos Akoka, 1984. B. A. (Hons.) English/ Journalism (University of Nigeria Nsukka 1973) as well as Certificate, Publications and Design (Central Office of Information, London, United Kingdom, 1981). Ada has received special training around the Concept of Gender, Gender Budgeting, Gender Mainstreaming, and Social Mobilization among others. She has also consulted for local and international civil organizations such as the British Council (DFID), UNESCO, UNIFEM, and NIGERIANET among others. She is now the Executive Director and Head of Gender and Development Action (GADA).

Alhassan Yahya Abdulahi

is a humanitarian and development advocate with a strong media and communication background. He has worked extensively in the areas of improved nutrition, community, and social mobilization with versed knowledge and abilities to influence policymakers. He is the Executive director of SAIF Advocacy Foundation and Coordinator of Maternal and Child Health (MNCH) Coalition established by Save the Children International. He has worked on several training and workshops including Promoting Women’s Engagement in Peace and Security in Northern Nigeria, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health as well as benefits of Exclusive Breast Feeding organized by the Gombe State Primary Health care Development among others. Abdulahi who bagged a Masters’s degree in Journalism from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria is currently the Vice president of NUJ North East Zone.

Victoria Ibanga

is a media entrepreneur and currently the Managing Director, The Next Edition. She is a former General Secretary, Treasurer of the Nigerian Guild of Editors and a Visiting Fellow Freedom House, USA, and an Alumna of Women’s Edition, PRB, USA. She is also on the board of reputable organizations including the International Press Centre (IPC).
