The council chairman of Sardauna, in Mambilla Plateau of Taraba State, Oliver Wubon, has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to deploy more voters’ capturing machines to the Local Government.
He made the demand on Thursday while interacting with media practitioners.
He argued that the number of voters’ capturing machines assigned to the council by INEC was inadequate.
The council boss, who went ahead to cite the population of the council and its difficult terrains, said deploying more of such machines would go a long way in ameliorating the hardships the people were presently going through.
He said the INEC should lessen the hardship being faced by eligible voters traveling from distant places within the council.
“Sardauna requires more capturing machines in view of the land mass, population and the difficult terrain in Mambilla Plateau,” he said.
The chairman urged the people of the council, especially eligible voters, to take advantage of the ongoing exercise.
