EJN offers grants for climate, environmental stories [Asia Pacific]

May 18, 2022

Early-career and experienced journalists from selected Asia Pacific countries can apply for a reporting grant.

Internews’ Earth Journalism Network, with support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), is providing story grants and one-on-one mentorship to journalists, with the aim of increasing the quality and quantity of environmental stories from the Asia Pacific region.

EJN is offering up to 20 story grants of around US$2,000 each to selected journalists to produce in-depth or investigative stories on environmental and climate issues in the region.

Specifically, EJN seeks story pitches on cross-sectoral stories, especially stories that explore the impacts of environmental threats on other sectors.

Stories that report on potential solutions and highlight how vulnerable communities are responding to environmental challenges and have the potential to address domestic or transboundary environmental concerns are encouraged.

Apply by June 6.
