ICFJ offers webinar on fake news for women journalists [Worldwide]

Journalists and others interested in how disinformation and online violence are used against women journalists are invited to attend this webinar.

The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) will host the webinar “How vicious disinformation campaigns aim to silence women journalists” at 10:30 a.m. EDT on May 6 to mark World Press Freedom Day.

The webinar will focus on new ICFJ-UNESCO research on online violence as a weapon of disinformation and strategies for fighting back.

The panelists are Filipino-American journalist Maria Ressa and ICFJ Global Director of Research Julie Posetti, moderated by Google News Vice President Richard Gingras.
