Investigative reporting Award seeks entries [Latin America, Caribbean]

Investigative reporters from Latin American and the Caribbean can enter this contest.

The Press and Society Institute in Peru is hosting the 2021 Javier Valdez Latin American Investigative Reporting Prize to honor relevant investigative stories conducted by journalists in the region.

To be considered, stories must be in Spanish, Portuguese or English and broadcast or published between Sep. 1, 2020 and Aug. 31, 2021.

The judges will evaluate the quality of the investigation conducted, its outcomes and impacts. The winner will receive a US$ 5,000 prize.

Deadline for entries is Sep. 20.
