Journalism Conference seeks high school students [US]

High school juniors in the U.S. who are interested in journalism are eligible for a free conference and scholarship.

Freedom Forum is accepting applications for the Al Neuharth Free Spirit and Journalism Conference for high school juniors. The conference brings students together for a week of programming focused on journalism and the First Amendment.

The conference will be held June 24 to 29 in Washington.

Students selected for the program receive an all-expenses-paid trip and a US$1,000 scholarship to the college of their choice.

This year’s conference is open to high school juniors who will graduate in spring 2024.

The deadline is March 1.
