June 7, 2022

Young journalists from Ghana, Sierra Leone and Liberia are eligible for an investigative journalism fellowship.

The Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) is accepting applications for the Next Generation Investigative Journalism Fellowship (NGIJ). The NGIJ Fellowship seeks to groom young journalists to pursue quality, critical, and accountability journalism and raise the next generation of critical investigative journalists in West Africa.

Successful applicants will be guided through the investigative processes of developing a story idea, reporting, and presenting the findings in a complete and coherent manner for maximum impact.

The fellows will participate in practical field assignments.

The five-month intensive program begins in July and will take place in Accra, Ghana.

The deadline is June 15.
