Nominations ongoing for Book contest [MENA]

Publishers, writers, researchers and translators across the Arab region can compete for an award.

The Sheikh Zayed Book Award is accepting submissions for its 2023 edition.

Categories include literature, young author, children’s literature, cultural personality of the year, publishing and technology, Arabic culture in other languages, translation, literary and art criticism, and contribution to the development of nations.

Winners across nine categories will each receive a prize of AED750,000 (US$204,192).

The deadline is Oct.1.
