Poynter offers writing workshop for journalists of color [US]

New and mid-career journalists of color based in the United States can apply for this free writing workshop.

The Power of Diverse Voices: Writing Workshop for Journalists of Color is one of Poynter’s most competitive programs. The workshop helps journalists who are building a career path towards opinion journalism develop and hone their arguments while presenting these arguments effectively and persuasively.

Journalists will learn how to strengthen their reporting skills with an emphasis on fairness and accuracy.

The selected journalists will attend an online small group seminar that includes four days of intensive, transformational learning, Nov. 18 to 21.

The application deadline is Aug. 23.
