Project focuses on stories of women environmental activists [Latin America]

Journalists ages 18 to 35 from several countries in Latin America can submit a pitch.

Climate Tracker will collect 12 profiles of women environmental activists in Latin America for the project “Defenders of the Territory”.

The project aims to give visibility to the challenges and risks faced by women environmental activists in the region.

Residents in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay are eiligible.

Applicants must submit a specific project. Selected candidates will receive a payment of EUR350 (US$450) to produce the piece, which can be an article, a video, a photo story, a podcast or other format. They will also receive tutoring.

The deadline is April 22.
