Journalists worldwide can attend a hybrid and in-person press freedom event at Columbia University in New York City.
The International Press Institute (IPI) is hosting the 2022 World Congress, titled “Journalism on the Frontline of Democracy.” It is an event designed to bring journalists together to discuss how they can advance, protect and sustain journalism that lights up the world with its power of storytelling.

The two-and-a-half day event will be held Sept. 8 to 10.
Online registration is free, but donations are welcome. Early-bird registration for the in-person event is US$100 for IPI members and US$200 for new members.
