Society of Professional Journalists offers fellowships [US]

Minority, professional and student journalists can apply for scholarships to attend a conference.

The Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) offers scholarships for journalists to attend the 2021 Excellence in Journalism Conference, which will be Sept. 2 to 4 in New Orleans and available online as well.

The Terry Harper Memorial Scholarships will award professional journalists with convention registration, accommodation and airfare.

The Robert D.G. Lewis First Amendment Award is open to students who have demonstrated outstanding service to the First Amendment through the field of journalism.

Applicants must be current SPJ members.

The deadline is June 11.
