Journalism students in Brazil can enter this contest.
The 14th Fernando Pacheco Jordão Prize for Young Journalists is seeking story pitches on some of the biggest challenges Brazil is facing today, such as attacks on human rights, health emergencies, environmental disasters, threats to democracy, disinformation, violence, inequality and hunger.
Students should form groups to submit their pitches. Stories must be developed either in audio or video format.
A total of four groups will be selected by the judges. They will be granted BRL1,500 each to develop the stories and will be mentored by renowned journalists.
The application deadline is June 19.
