Experienced Māori journalists interested in public interest journalism can apply for this role.
The Gisborne Herald, with support from NZ On Air’s Public Interest Journalism Fund, is hiring a Māori affairs reporter on a two-year fixed term. This initiative is supported by NZME and The Wairoa Star as content-sharing partners.
Candidates should be well-versed in te ao Māori and preferably fluent te reo speakers. Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi will also be essential.
