September 13, 2022

Ugandan journalists who are fluent in English and have at least two years of experience can apply for the Wealth of Nations – Illicit finance (NORAD) program.

Thomson Reuters Foundation, in partnership with the African Centre for Media Excellence, is hosting workshops that provide training on “Reporting Illicit Finance in Africa.”

Selected journalists will participate in intensive training covering illicit finance, reporting on companies, accounts and budgets and investigative techniques.

The first workshop will be held Oct. 3 to 7. A follow-up workshop will be held Nov. 16 to 18.

Both workshops will take place at the African Centre for Media Excellence in Kampala.

Participants will propose one or more story ideas and receive modest funding to realize their stories. The organization also covers accommodation, local transfers and meals relating to the training.

The deadline is Sept. 21.
