Writing contest covers nature [Australia]

Australian writers can submit science related stories, poems or essays for publication in December.

Science Write Now is accepting submissions for its sixth edition, which covers natural history and historians. Science Write Now is a network of people and resources that support creative writing about science.

Applicants can submit new or previously published work on natural history or historians who have shaped an understanding of the Australian environment and beyond.

Writers will be paid up to AUD$390 for new writing, AUD$70 for a single poem or AUD$180 for three poems, AUD$40 for reprint stories or essays, and AUD$20 for reprint poems.

The submission deadline is Nov. 23.
